High top conversion vans have had the original roof cut away in places then replaced with a fiberglass roof to give the van increased height. Search for used van high roof cargo vans. The windows can be mounted in the middle of the van or almost all the way to the back.

For all installations we leave the front section above the two front seats intact. They can not be mounted closer to the front because the van top is too curved.
